The Gift Guide for Any Fitness Fanatic

Are you stumped on what to get your gym-rat pal or family member for the holidays, or any other occasion? Well, I’m here to help! Whether it’s yoga or HIIT, I’ve got a few gift ideas that your fit friends will love. As someone who has ran the Army Ten Miler, then became a certified personal trainer, earned my CrossFit Level 1 certification, as well as my USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Coach certification, I’ve tried my fair share of athletic gear.

Each item that I’m going to suggest has either been tested by myself or one of my fellow fitness lovers, so I won’t be throwing anything at you without giving it a go! Click the photos or the gold text to learn more about each product. This post is not sponsored, however it may contain affiliate links. This means that you will pay NO extra, but I may receive a commission off of items that are linked. This helps me to keep up and running!

  1. Hydro Flask Water Bottle

Would you like your gym-loving friend to have ice cold water throughout his or her workout? The Hydroflask is like a Yeti for the gym! You can fill up your bottle with a cold beverage in the morning, and it will still be cold at the end of the day. Nailed it!

2. Garmin Forerunner 35 or Fitbit Alta

Okay, I’m recommending both of these, because it really depends on the needs of the person wearing it. I have an older version of the Garmin Forerunner and it is user friendly, maps my runs on the screen, keeps my heart rate, and even provides me with a virtual running buddy to keep me motivated. So, I would have the Garmin in mind for someone who is pretty serious, or trying to be pretty serious about running. The FitBit however, is great for more casual movers, or those who would like to make sure they get their steps in and cardio time in. There are great social options for it as well, and both watches can be linked up to the MapMyRun App! I would say, check both out, think about what would serve your recipient better, and go from there.

3. Microfiber Towel

These towels are way better than the average towel for the gym! You don’t want to stick a wet towel into your bag, or have to carry your towel out separetely. These microfiber towels are fast drying, so you can throw them in your bag in minutes and continue with your day!

4. Yurbuds Inspire 300 Headphones

If you do a lot of cardio or bouncing around as you workout, it’s horrible when your headphones fall out, right? The Yurbuds are wonderful because they STAY IN. Minimal readjusting, if any, and they come with a cool little bag, so they don’t get stuck in your smelly sneakers. You can also order different sizes to fit your ears if necessary!

5. A good gym bag!

The Nike Legend bag is basically a cooler looking gym duffle. By that I mean, there is enough space, a special portion for your smelly shoes, and a longer strap if you need it. If you’re fitness fanatic needs to bring a change of clothes, a towel, extra shoes, etc., then this is the bag you’re looking for! If you need a smaller one just for shoes and a water bottle, I recommend a gym sack like the one below. Small and easy!

6. GREAT Leggings, like the Nike Legend

This isn’t the best photo, but chances are, if you’ve been into a sporting goods store and browsed the Nike gear, then you’ve seen these pants, or a variation of them. They come as leggings, yoga-style pants, and capris. The seller on these for me is the waistband. They stay up, are a little higher rise (but not super high!), and are NOT see through. I LOVE them. There are also cool patterns if you’re looking for something fun. Now, if you have room in your budget…click here. You’ll find Lululemon’s Wunder Under pants. They are my absolute favorite, but probably not my absolute favorite to purchase. The Nike Legend tights are the only ones that come close!

7. Yoga Mat

I’m no yoga expert, but I do enjoy it. During my pregnancy with the twins, I was able to do yoga throughout each trimester. This mat comes with the strap for easy carrying. Yoga mats are also great for outdoor workouts, or to spread over hard flooring if you’re inside.

8. Fuss-Free Sports Bra

Ladies, you know what I mean when I say “fuss free”. How annoying is it to workout and keep having to adjust your bra? Click the link or the photo to be directed to the easiest sports bra in the world, which has enough support for all sizes. It also comes in just about any color you can imagine!

9. Dry Shampoo- Kenra is amazing!

This can be used after working out, especially if you need to head to work or are meeting some friends for dinner! Use just a little to avoid looking greasy at the roots…because at that point, what’s the use? Bonus- It smells great!

10. Sneakers! Nike Met-Cons are my current favorite!

There are plenty of fun colorways for this shoe, so be sure to check out the options! These shoes are used a lot in the CrossFit world, because they’re great trainers for just about any activity. So, if you’re into basically any sort of working out, Met Cons will work! I also love the Nike Free (below), for their extreme comfort. It’s like walking on a cloud…or working out on a cloud!

So, there we have it! These are items that are all available in various colors and sizes to fit anyone on your list. If you have specific questions about current gear that I’m using for weightlifting, then feel free to ask via e-mail or comment! I hope everyone’s shopping is going well and Happy Holidays!

    • Haha! Well, the only time in my life when I had larger girls, was when pumping for the twins, so I don’t have much experience there, lol. I would consider it supportive, but those with a little more in the chest area, I’d say it’s probably moderate!
